Một viện bảo tàng ở Malmo, Thụy Điển khiến cho tất cả mọi người cảm thấy sốc khi trưng bày hơn 80 món ăn kinh dị khác nhau từ khắp nơi trên thế giới. Mọi người đến đây tham quan sẽ được phát cho những chiếc túi tránh tình trạng nhiều người không chịu nổi đến mức phải nôn ra.

Samuel West, giám đốc ở đây cho hay đây chỉ là một buổi triễn lãm mang tính chất giải trí, nhưng thông qua đó nó cũng truyền tải những thông điệp ẩn chứa trong ẩm thực. Sự ghê tởm là một trong 6 cảm xúc cơ bản của con người, nó giúp chúng ta tránh những thực phẩm bị ô nhiễm, nguy hại cho sức khỏe.

Ông khuyến khích mọi người đến đây có thể dùng thử những sản phẩm trưng bày nếu muốn. Cứ 2 ngày 1 lần, toàn bộ món ăn đều được thay để đảm bảo mùi vị, màu sắc tươi mới nhất. Ông hy vọng mọi người sẽ có cái nhìn cởi mở hơn về sự phát triển của một số nguồn thực phẩm tốt cho sức khỏe như côn trùng hoặc thịt nhân tạo.
